In this section you will give details on your work history, education, degrees and qualifications.
This information is used for pre-screening, so be as accurate as you can be. If you don’t remember when you started your job 5 years ago, check before writing a date.
Do the same with your education. Maybe some details you forget. It’s normal, check before completing your profile. You will be evaluated based on this information, so don’t limit your chances by approximating dates, names, and so on related to your work experience.
If you pass the assessments and interviews, appointment is subject to satisfactory and complete verification of education and work details.
Verification on the information stated in these sections is undertaken for candidates under closer consideration. If your references are checked you are going to be notified.
To add your education and work details:
Click on the Education and Work Experience button, the Education and Work Experience page appears.
First section is UN Employment, if applicable. This indicate if you are currently employed or you have been an employee of UN.
Use the UN Employment Status menu and fill in the information required. There will be drop down menus asking you for details. Just follow on.
A note, here, try to give details in reason for separation, but keep it neutral. For example: Maybe you resigned and you feel the need to add for personal reasons, or for other career priorities.
But, avoid explanations like bad management or not satisfied with work. I don’t know… The negative side of a job we all have to face now and then. Maybe that was your experience, but this is not helping your applications.
If you finish with your UN employment history, you can start adding your other work experience.
Click on the Add Work Experience button. The Add Work Experience page appears. If you held more than one position with the same employer, enter each position separately.
Complete the following sections about your current and past employers. Starting with your present employer, list every position held in reverse chronological order.
Duly complete all fields and indicate every employment held from age 18 and higher - including service in the armed forces and internships. Note any period during which you were not gainfully employed.
